My puppy is 10 weeks old. She knows how to sit, shake, come, speak, go potty, and crate. Now I have seen some some really cool tricks, like making a dog 'whisper', its when they speak except really quiet. All of my tricks were easy to train because they are natural... what's the coolest dog trick you've seen or trained...and how did you do it???? I'm still wondering how get her to roll over and play dead....

My dog is a trick fiend.. hes an awesome quick learner. I have run out of ideas of what to teach him but the coolest trick he knows I think is simply "jump" lol its fun I can make him jump over anything.. on a walk its fun to get him to jump over things like snow banks or tree branches or even my other dog. Its real easy to teach too but the dog has to be a natural jumper or they dont really get into it.. my other dog doesnt care to do it at all though she can.. all you do is set up a pole doesnt matter it can be a rake, shovel handle whatever and use buckets or rocks to make a low jump at first probably about 6 inches high. Then take your dog by the collar and say jump while holding a treat in your hand on the other side of the jump and gently pulling them towards it... she should jump over automatically then give her treat and praise and practice some more until they get it down. Some other cool tricks that I taught my dog are "spin" easy enough just hold a treat in your hand in a closed fist, let the dog smell it and then make them follow your hand in a circle while saying spin.. Also Heel up, same thing lure them with a treat in hand and make them go around behind your back and sit on your left side basically leaning against you.... lol I invented my own version of that called "pony up" its the same thing except you make them go around behind you, come out between your legs and sit.. its cute. To teach rollover and play dead is pretty easy too but once again it has to be a natural skill your dog enjoys... my dog will play dead when I say "bang" as well, but he wont rollover in the house because there is not enough traction the floors are not carpeted. Its best to teach rollover outside where its easier for the dog to do it.. all you do is make the dog laydown or start when they are just laying there... its best to teach laydown first tho makes things easier. Then using a treat as lure start with your hand in front of the nose and move it back around the head and over the back while saying rollover.. you may have to help the dog go all the way over just by rolling them over manually the rest of the way then give the treat an praise.. repeat repeat. To teach play dead just make the dog laydown and make a gun shape with your hand and say "bang" while pushing them onto their side with your foot, then give them a treat and praise.

My dog can say please (talk), sit, give paw (shake hands), bang (play dead), roll over, spin around, crate and walk on his hind legs. The coolest i've seen was on TV when a dog walked up and down stairs doing a hand stand!
If you'd like to know more about how i trained my dog to do what he does than feel free to email me :)

My golden lab used to annouce who ever came to the house usually by a single low bark, i began to distingquish a different pitch in his voice with every new visitor..so i would know who ever was coming to the door...it was like having caller id!!..was a great trick but i dont know how he learned it, well yes i do, he was mostly a person, just happened to have 4 legs~~one semi cool trick id do with him is make him hold his head still, i would place a piece of bread on the top of his nose and tell him DONT MOVE...and he would freeze...then i would finally say GET THE BREAD and he would move his head quick n catch the bread in his mouth~~

My dog skips with a skipping rope. Two people hold the rope & she is in the middle. It took years to train her to do that. First I taught her to jump in the air on command. Then I introduced a skipping rope as she jumped. She was clicker trained to do all that. Its a real cool trick to watch.

I've seen a dog that was able to get a particular item from the fridge, close the door and bring it to her owner who was in the living room.
My friend's dog has a Chesepeak Retriever who can dive underwater and bring back a bright coloured weight she likes to fetch.

when i was younger i had a hamster that used to crawl into a 10 stone rotweillers mouth and the rottweiler used to close her mouth and walk around with the hamster in her mouth, the rottweiler then lay down and opened her mouth and my hamster would crawl back out unharmed and thats with the dog they call the devils dog, brilliant to see this size of dog and a tiny hamster like this together

Here's a fun trick to teach your dog
Say "bang" and mime shooting a gun with your finger and make your dog roll over on their back and play dead. My poodle does it. So hilarious! And, it's fine, they're not really dead...
