I'm looking for a romantic hotel, preferably beach front, or something very close to the beach that also has activities at the hotel, such as tennis or that sort of thing that we could do at the end of the day when we come back to the hotel. Also the hotel must have a minimum of 1 night stay as we would be flying in on friday mourning and leaving sat. mourning and nothing too expensive. Please help!!! I'm from Trinidad (live in NY now) but i've never been to Tobago so I have no idea where to stay, any suggestions???

First time to Tobago? You're going to enjoy yourself. Have fun, I wish you could get to stay there a little longer. I'll give you the same answer I gave someone else a few weeks back - and others agreed with me because it got best answer...

Definitely Kariwak Village - I've had the good fortune of having to go to T&T 3 times in the past year, and Kariwak Village was the hotel of choice while in Tobago. Affordable, accessible to the airport - you can walk there - and of course a 10 minute walk to Store Bay where you can pick up the boats to go to the reef.
PS - there are many activities at the hotel as well.

Romantic- Coco Reef. I JUST got back three days ago and it is literally on the beach. It is expensive, but pretty. There is also the Hilton, again expensive.
If you want a cheap place to relax *right next to Coco Reef* you can stay at the Johnnston Apartments. It's about 100 USD a night, modest, with a fridge, stove, etc. and is right on the beach too.

Rainbow Resort is nice but you will have to walk to the beach.
