If you're talking about a mortgage, you need ALL THREE reports and scores.
Go to www.annualcreditreport.com. You can receive the reports for free once a year, and you'll have to pay for the scores. You need over 580 before you even THINK about getting a mortgage. Over 650 and you'll get fair rates, over 700+ and you're golden. Most mortgage companies use your middle score or an average of all 3.
If there are any discrepencies, launch disputes. They take 30 days.

hi
you are entitled to have a copy of your creidt report however you must pay for this. so far i know that prices range from £2 to £17 depending on how you request your report and if you require a credit score.
there are three major credit refernece agencies in the UK:
call credit
equifax
experian
they all have websites.
if you choose to have a statutory report (doesnt give your score) its £2 by post and £2.50 (equifax) over the phone. its also similarly price by the other two. over the internet equifax charges £17 for a report and score, experian charges £6 monthly and you can view your report anytime and £5 for score and offers a free 30 day trial. callcredit also offer a range of similar services but i've never used them before.
you should also know that having a look at your credit score actually reduces it by 40 or 60 points (can't remember)
hope this helps

the credit references are
experian and equifax most important but there is another one called call credit which i found a little helpful
you need to provide the companies with
your name
other names youve been known by
your last address within the last six years
i am in exactly the same position as you, i sent my letters off today

I use a great site to get all 3 credit reports and all 3 credit scores.
Plus a calculator simulator for one of the scores that allows you to make "changes" to your credit to see how it will effect your score.
To get the calculator for the other scores-- the cost is additional $6.00. So that is up to you if you feel you need the others.
It initially costs $1.00 to join, and $12.00 after the first month. I have been using for 3 months and still have only been paying $1.00!!
The web-site is:
www.privacyguard.com
http://www.privacyguard.com/Default.aspx?SID=7A0F1FBC62C14E93498dcd1b76bfd24a
P.S. This site also allows you access to other vital records like: medical records, driving records, and neighborhood reports--for no additional cost.
However, if for some reason you do have to pay for the records you request, Privacy Guard will reimburse you for the cost.
They reimbursed me for my driving record!!!
Hope this helps!!!

I use experian - they're very thorough. Gives you names and addresses of companies you've had credit with in the past. Well worth knowing really.
