im 17 and the guy i like is 18,we were driving along listening to our favorate music and when we stopped at a red light he looks at me smiling and pats his hand on my leg and rubs it fast then he put his hand back on his steering wheel smiling,i know it means hes affectionate,but it almost seems like he was triend to tell me im glad your here i dont know.why did he do this like what does it mean??

definately. if you guys can listen to your favorite music loudly and in the car together. then stop and smile and he rubs you and puts his hand back at steering wheel, he's comfortable.
he appreciates your company and is happy you are there with him.

You have to learn to trust your own instincts. He is either glad you were there or he just wants to get in your pants. If he is an 18 year old boy, then the answer is obvious to me......
