Not me. I find it amusing at times and sometimes [for serious questions] intellectually challenging.

Not so much offended but annoyed by some of the stupid narrow minded questions and comments made by some atheists. It would be nice if they would do there homework but I'm afraid many just aren't interested in a grown up debate just cheap put downs maybe they have nothing really interesting to say?.I'm also disappointed by some of the comments that Christians make to about certain subjects a need to focus on the Gospels more in my opinion .

I think it is part of the end of times. God says that we will be persecuted in his names sake!
Another reason could be because people are afraid of God!
Another reason really has to do with people turning away from religion due to the confusion, I mean there are so many religions and beliefs out there!
In reality, I look at it this way, if they are offended by my/others religious questions, than they need to read or answer questions in a different category!
Jesus Saves! God Bless!

Perhaps they are arrogant enough to believe they have all the answers. I don't mind at all hearing others opinion's on religion, as long as it's an intelligent debate. It open's my mind to new ideas and concepts. What some of these people don't seem to realize is that they aren't required to agree with everyone else, and neither am I. Religion is a very personal concept, we should just share ideas and allow all others to make their own decisions. But, I also feel we should be able to choose WHEN to debate the issue, I don't appreciate when someone comes to my door to 'educate' me on god. It is unsolicited advice. Plus, it is selfish and demanding to show up to a person's door uninvited and expect them to put off all other things they need to get done just to listen to a complete stranger tell you that you wont be saved unless you agree with their opinion. It's insulting, not heart warming. By coming to this section we made the choice to debate religion, If someone is irritated with talking about religion in the religious section, they need to move to a different subject.

I'm not so much offended by the questions but the intent behind the questions.
The people posing religious questions, the ones asking why people don't believe and quoting scriptures designed to force people to believe, are mean-spirited demanding people who want a world filled only with people like them.
Those people who ask questions designed to demean those who do believe are mean-spirited people who want a world filled only with people like them.
Seems to me they both have issues.
I'd prefer a world where people allow others their beliefs without either demeaning others who think differently or demanding they change their way of thinking to conform to one belief system.
So.... there ya go.

It is a psychological fact that "people prefer to believe what they prefer to be true."
When someone challenges a believer, and shows how their faith is either, unreasonable, illogical, unscientific, delusional or downright impossible, the believer (usually Christian or Muslim or Jew - or some odd variant) is forced to retreat into a faith-based defense, or either a sophomoric attempt to actually present a counter-argument (which is rare, because their sources are usually 5th or 6th grade schoolbooks - or the primary religious text for their particular religion itself) - must say things like:
"You are a dummy" or
"You can choose either to burn in Hell or go to paradise"
"My religious text proves itself to my heart when I read it"
"I don't need proof"
(I like that last one - I met a guy who believed that bricks were made of candy - I thought I could prove they weren't by telling him to eat one... It was against his belief to eat bricks, I found out and also, it was his belief that people who did not believe couldn't eat bricks at all!)
So, what are you gonna do? I know bricks are just bricks.... I know Christianity/Islam?Judaism is not true, but in similar fashion, their religions are designed to be self-proving.... What do you do?
I guess the best thing to do is to pray that these people do not breed.

If the question is about one's faith, the fanatical tend to get upset and strike back...no matter how harmless a question may have been intended. Instead of getting an intellectual debate, we end up with border skirmishes between the different belief systems here.
Most believers see their own faith as the one true faith. As most people tend to be closed minded once they speak of the spiritual and religions, it is difficult for them to accept that someone else may not agree with their view on things in this regard.

Some people fear what they dont understand, and the best alternative for some of them is to lash out in an attempt to make a "believer" either doubt their faith, or reduce themselves to lashing back. After all misery does love its company. I sometimes wonder if some people choose not to believe in some form of religion or another simply because a belief will humble them to change their lifestyle.

They are offended...because Jesus offends them ..He said something like this..(That we are blamed..punished .. for Him ...?)
We cannot ofend nobody we are not God ..who is the Truth and can do the impossible., if it is moral ..and good.
But there are some who are not offended just like discussing on religious topic even if they are in contradiction.. .
Actually they should be happy .Christians have never been indiferent to them...they considered them as brothers ...and I think this is best a man can do for you..If you consider the other one as a brother you give him a far better salary....and don't send him to jail..will somebody send his brother to jail ?He will forgive him..

Are you new to this site or what? No matter which side, people are convinced they have the truth and that makes them better than the others. People get on here to insult and attack those who believe differently. Not exactly the spirit of religion in my opinion.
Some say that strong defensiveness about one's beliefs--OR lack thereof--is a hint that maybe that person is insecure about them him/herself.
