Oh silly silly silly. You didn't study percentages in math did you?

If you look at the raw number of people, it's even worse.

Did you even read the post? The stats are from the associated press. Not me.

Broad? I thought it was pretty simple.

Good stats. I don't know the accuracy but they still point to a fact that is often overlooked... Christians are not better than anybody else! Too many people seem to think that Christians should be "better" or "happier" but the reality is that they are still people who are trying to get better and will likely become more at peace with life than actually "happy".

"Real" Christians will get "better" in some ways if they are truly following Christ - but only better in comparison to themselves. Sadly, Christians try to maintain very high standards and often fall short and look like hypocrites. Also, many people claim to be Christian but don't truly understand God's work in their life. Those who do often show compassion and forgiveness for people which allows them room for error/mistakes - divorce.

I think this is a good stat to remind people that Christians are regular people who simply realized they are sinners and need Christ and the forgiveness He offers. And they (in general) know how to forgive those who make mistakes.

Good work on finding those stats/article!

You have to look at the number of people in each religion. Jews are 30% but there are only a few million of them, christians are 24% but there are billions of them.

You put them in such broad categories, that I'm not sure which Born-again Christians or Other Christians you are referring to.

Do you know how many religions are actually out there that aren't accounted for in those statistics???

I better not get started on this one, lol. Suffice it to say, I think divorce is wrong and people get married too often these days without a real lifetime commitment being part of it. Its not only a religious issue, its a societal issue apart from religious belief.

Hey, well, this is what you get for marrying for love!
It's a great ideal, but not the best idea.
Sorry, I know it sounds harsh, but it's true.
The love and lust and committment all die at the same time.
Meanwhile, when you're put together for other reasons, you start to actually CARE about the other person, not be just attracted and all that jazz.

People divorce all the time, regardless of religion. We are all human.
