not necessarily. I used to love a guy named Donte-thought about him all the time, but now I could care less about him, he hasn't crossed my mind for years until now! Then there was this guy named Derrick that I used to like a whole lot, and now I never think of him, either. I've amost forgotten his last name! However, there is this guy named Darren that I was with for like 6 years, and I still love him a whole lot, even though I never see him. So, I guess it depends. But loving them forever isn't always the case. Maybe you will if you see them all of the time, but I think once you spend enough time away from them, you meet new people and then those ex's take a backseat to your love interest.

if it was a good break-up (if there is such) meaning, neither of you did something really bad to hurt the other then i guess you can still have affection for the person. although not romantically, because at some point you will have moved on and found someone else to give your love to. you will always have a proverbial place in your heart to that ex you spent a lot of good times with.

I thought that would be the case, when I broke up with my ex-fiance... however, time did heal that wound (at least, for me) and although I don't wish him any harm or bad karma or whatever, I hardly ever think about him anymore.

well, guess im alone on this, but i dont necessarily feel love, but i do (fondly) remember past loves. (and this is having not heard from him in about 7 or 8 years)
