Keep trying to keep him inside. Maybe when you get him neutered that may help. There are to many danger for cats out side. There are creeps who kill cats for the thrill of it. I had a very lovable male cat who was sunning himself in our driveway and a man driving a white pick-up on purpose drove into and hit my cat then backed out laughing.I have never let another cat out ever again.I have heard many, many stories about other cat killers.............Please don't let your baby out he will live a long and happy life with you if you keep him inside.

I wouldnt let your cat out at all if possible. I know its hard. I live in an area where predation is common so that outweighs the sorrow I feel about it. I got a window seat for my kitties so they can entertain themselves with bird watching. If your going to let your cat out be real mellow about it. go out onto your patio, back yard whatever is practical, with your cat and dont make a bid deal about it. Once you stop chasing your cat chances are your cat will mellow and just sit beside you while he sunbathes and enjoys the fresh air. and wont put up a fight and run away when its time to go in. Sometimes its the chase its self that turns him on. Ive got a cat that targets the door everytime it opens but he really wants to be chased by me so its a way to get attention. Definitly have your cat licensed and chipped for his protection in case he wanders. That wont protect him from cars but it will give you peace of mind if he wanders. Good luck.

Here's a few tunnel things I've seen, never tried any of them though so not sure how good they are. Kind of a good idea lol. I'm too afraid to let my cats out, some people are mean to cats, can be hit by a car, or other animals outside may get them.

Indoor cats live longer, so you probably should keep him inside. If you want him to go out, check out some of the pet catalogs, they have these kitty runs that allow the cat to be outside and still confined. I think Pet Edge has them.

Well, if he wasn't fixed he'll continue to want to go out and sneak out. He is probably street-wise since he was already out for a while. So his instincts tell him to go out more and more. BUT if you want to keep him you'll have to put up the cost of having him neutered. Or he'll cry and keep wanting to go. When its warm you can take him out in a small kennel or on a leash. Although cats DO hate leashes. But put him in a kennel and he'll be happy enjoying the smells. But get him fixed so he don't go through all the trauma of NEEDING to go out, as all cats do....

Leash-train him or get him an outdoor cat enclosure. That's the only way I know of that will keep kitty safe in the outdoors.

you can put cats on a leash, jus like dogs. other than that, there's not really much u can do for that sort of problem unless u get him a new home, because apparently, he doesn't like being inside at all.

First you should get him microchipped. Also, if he is like that I would try not to let him out at all its the best for his safety.
