I know what I'm going to give, memorized over half of it, but want to know if anybody has any tips or anything on actually delivering it? You know, like in the actual speaking? I'm a sophomore and this is for school...it's on my celtic harp and I'm giving it to lots of people I don't know.

Thanks in advance!

It's about the history of, and exhibition of, my Celtic 12-string harp. (Explanation of original Hebrew words, how it dates back to 2800 BC, demonstration of tuning key etc).

5 Tips:
1) Dress UP!...Look really good---it will boost your confidence
2) Speak UP!...Keep your speaking Volume UP...project to the back of the room and don't let your voice tone get low or weak..be sure to advise holding all questions to the end of the lecture, so you'll be able to control the flow of your speech and won't be blown off track by side-bars and interruptions
3) Smile and make eye contact with your audience...it will keep them engaged--Make a point to an individual in the audience then scan the room for smiling faces and eye contact
4) Don't clutch the podium --use broad and appropriate gestures...watch putting your hands in your pockets..it indicates you're hiding something or your point is weak
5) This is the information age...USE Multi-media to support your speech: Artwork; PowerPoint Presentation; 3-D objects; Charts; Handouts--Engage your audience
Bonus Tip: Don't imagine everyone in their underwear...besides being gross, it's non-productive...instead: Imagine everyone's getting what you're saying and enjoying your speech and sitting on the edge of their chair with interest!! Good luck~

Well try not to "deliver" it like most people do. You know, how everywhere you hear a student speak they have that same tone? Well try not to act so... I don't know the word, um like a "know-it-all?" Be enthusiastic but don't push it. Act like you're really excited about the topic and you believe in it. What exactly is this "speech" about?
