his house, though he spent a lot of time at mine, he never spent the night, he does have some medical problems and says that's the reason we didn't have an active sexual realtionship. I'm pretty savvy, but somehow I overlooked all of this!! Is it because I was hopeful that he was on the up-and-up, or was I just blind because I didn't want to accept the possible truths? Did I do the right thing by ending it?

if after two years you still have doubts about the honesty of your guy, you are definitely right in ending the relationship. he sounds shady from your description of him and who knows, he's probably hiding a wife and four kids! i would've confronted him about this before ending the relationship, just so i won't have to obssess about it after, but what's important is you are now free from that guy who is stringing you along. move on and be happy. good luck

If you really loved him, but knew it couldn't work out, you did the right thing. Ending it with a guy, when you know its not gonna work, is the best thing to do.

Obviously it wasn't working out. Whether the reason is what you're guessing or something else almost doesn't matter.
