I have a Bible, a Koran, the Book of Mormon, and some Jehovah's Witness literature, but no Torah.

I need them all for the Wood Chipper Challenge.

Well.......the "real" Toráh is the original one, in Hebrew.

If you don't speak hebrew, you have to use a good jewish translation (but not perfect).

I recommend you some of these:

http://www.mysefer.com/product.asp?numPageStartPosition=1&P_ID=917&strPageHistory=cat&strKeywords=&strSearchCriteria=&PT_ID=264

But it's not only read............the Torah is: 90% oral and 10% written..........the 90% is the Talmud and only the 10% is the Jumash (5 Books of the Tora written). If you really want to learn, you will need a proffessor.

Take care.

What's a "Wood Chipper Challenge"?

Anyway, you can get a nice one on amazon.com. You might try looking under "Chumash." That is another name for it, and usually includes nice commentaries.

Now, why would tossing these books into a wood chipper boost your ego?

I can't help you with that... but I can tell you that LM is posting now with Bi-polar questions in mental health.
I had "dropped" it in in an answer I had for her and within 30 minutes she is asking about it.
Very sad. Any way if you want to continue to help Wana... there you go.
