Here is a link to Greek Mythology:

I think 5th century B.C. predates anything that was written about Christianity.

Well for one thing there are no Gods on Mount Olympus, the world isn't supported by a giant tree, there's no heavenly beings in the cloud, there are no underworld.

Shall I continue?

Well your question is just a bit off. Most of the religions today predate Greek and Roman mythology. Having said that no, they are not more believable, IMHO. Why? Because Zeus and his friends were creations of humans. Now before someone jumps up and down screaming so was today's Gods, I would beg to differ. Christian writings predate all of Greek Mythology. Consider just one point. Zeus is supposed to be the the God of Gods right. The father of the Gods? There were never any writings BY Zeus, just writings about him.

Besides, look at the result of belief in God vs belief in myths. The Greek and Roman gods were just as bad as humans except they had more power attributed to them. They were immoral, petty, manipulative, vindictive. What good ever came from worshipping them ... except the art that they inspired.

Belief in the God of the Bible creates better husbands and fathers, better wives and mothers, better children when we do our best to imitate his qualities.

Please think twice about mocking someone simply because you disagree with them. It isn't becoming, especially when you could be wrong.

"I think 5th century B.C. predates anything that was written about Christianity." PSSSTT!!!! Moses wrote a number of the early books of the Bible 1000 years before that. Genesis was written in 1513BCE, Exodus and Leviticus, in 1512BCE, Numbers and Deutoronomy in 1473BCE. The book of Joshua was written in 1450BCE. In addition, there are a number of others that predate the 5th Century BCE by 4 or 5 hundred years.

not in my humble opinion...(but i think this is an individual thing). Imo, ancient religion is beautiful (some, not all), spiritual, in tune with and highly respectful of Nature, and does not cram brimstone down one's throat. As for Zeus: he's just b-a-d...give the boy a Harley!

No. The story of Zeus is just a more powerful meme than the story of Zeus.

Not in my opinion. I could just as easily believe in more than one god instead of one. Back then though there where less religious wars.

It bothers me when people call it "fake", even though I don't personally believe in it.

What if it's the right one?
