take a plastic or metal container. Put some wet gravel or stone and place in bottom of bucket take a cup or bowl and put into the center of the container. Stretch a clearor black plastic sheetover the top of the original container and fasten to the rim at the top. Take a stone or weight and place on the top of the plastic sheet in the center with the cup or bown just under the bottom of the cone now formed by the weight. Set out into the sun.

The sun's heat will evaporate the moisture in the wet gravel and cause it to adhere to the underside of the plastic sheeting, where it will condense and flow down the inverted shaped cone and drip into the cup or bowl. Takes time and is not real efficeint, but does work.

Best examples are shown in US Armed Forces survival manual or Boy Scout Fieldbook.

Build a box. water tight. top of glass. pour water(?) in box. make glass w/ collector at bottom to collect distillate. It is like a green house w/ condensed water-only collect the water

I'm afraid that distiling water with the energy from sun is not very efficient (although cheap). Why don't you get your water from rainfall.
