- Photo Album Operation Trident- is a campaign which uses a wide variety of community content in an effort to recreate a more realistic setting for combat type operations. This campaign is also a community based campaign meaning that much of it's content is inspired by feedback from the OFP community itself. Operation Trident is not the vision of a single individual or small group but instead incorporates feedback from OFP players everyhere to derive its campaign uniqueness. While the campaign has an overall storyline and guidelines for mission makers, the actual mission making is left to those who wish to contribute. Submitted missions are then subject to beta testing by other players and Trident staff to examine the mission for error-free playability, content and storyline compatibility. Successful submissions are then incorporated into the campaign. For this reason, Operation Trident can be considered everyones campaign, at least, everyone who wishes to participate. Please visit the forums page and ask questions about the campaign and it's story then decide what type of missions you would like to make. All contributors will have their names mentioned in the Introduction and the End Credits of the campaign! Here's a very brief overview of Operation Trident:

Who-
The United States, The United Nations, several member countries of the European Union.

What-
Military operations of all types (including humanitarian efforts).

Where-
The country of Bahadur.

When-
Before and after the goverment takeover on October 10, 2006.

Why-
To restore the interests of participating countries threatened by the collapse of the pro-democratic government and the Tadu Regime in the middle east.

The day after the beginning of the war (December 4th) for the independence of Bangladesh, the Indian Military coordinated a deep strike into Eastern Pakistan called Operation Trident which utilized all three branches of India's military. The Navy, the Air Force and the Army. Hence the name Trident. This operation resulted in the overall success of the war and the surrender by Pakistan on December 16, 1971.
Side note: The name Operation Trident has been used many times in many wars, but when one refers to this war specifically it is the description above.
