You'll want to wait at least a few days after the baby is born, but a paternity test can be done shortly after birth. A DNA test can be obtained at the proper place by rubbing a sterile swab inside baby's mouth, you don't need blood for it.

The moment? No, they don't do that very second. Such a test would likely be delayed by at least a few hours, if not a day or two. More a matter of what's really important during the neonatal period.

You can have the test done when you want. To be honest though the doc's and nurses will be checking more important things like vital signs snd breathing on the baby first.

You can do the test as soon as the baby is born (earlier, if you're willing to risk the baby's/mother's health with unnecessary medical procedures), but the results are not immediate.

Try spelling it this way: "paternity"
Then you can type it in to the search box and get better answers.
