If you think about it everything is connected to the environment. We get all our necessities from products grown in the environment, we get our food, water, and shelter three things that everyone needs from the environment. Everything is connected in the circle of life. It is imperative that we conserve and research new ways of doing things in order to protect our environment. Plus tourism and hunting dollars pump in millions of dollars into the US economy which wouldn't be there if it weren't for nature and the environment. Millions of jobs are in an environmental or agricultural field. So a dead environment = a dead economy. So go visit national parks and other conservation areas and support the environment and vote for legislators who have conservation of resources as a top priority.

Not only the nation, but humanity. Our country is based on charging for energy consumption, and raping that energy from the earth, like we own it. Eventually, those resources will stop being "ores" and start being too scarce to supply all of the growing population. Once we use all of anything, its gone forever. How will we get fruits and vegtables if all the farms are gone? Plus, you cant put all your chips in one bucket. If we suddenly run out of the source of electricity, we would be screwed. We need to focus on refining other ways to get that energy.

Unless we can change our ways of destroying our natural environment, we as a nation or as a race will depart this earth as a failed experiment for MOther Nature.
a factor of four controls human life
4 minutes without oxygen and your brain dies.
4 days without water and your bodyily organs cease to function
40 days without any food or substence and you die of starvation.
4 years without sunlight and all green growing plants are long gone.
