my ex fiance recently broke off our relationship and I told her i just feel like giving up but I tell myself not to and she says you just have to stay strong and have faith. anyone ever had this type of problem before and what does it mean?

I am sorry, I don't mean to sound harsh and judgemental, but that kind of cliche crap comes from the mouth of a person who is trying to soften the blow.
I don't know her, but maybe she is testing you to see if you will stick around while she tries to figure out what she really wants in life.

Wow, I believe most of these answers are right on the nose. I don't think she wants you back. If she is saying those words she must see you a little as a puppy dog. Not a bad thing. Although she is done with you, she feels you have what it takes to find someone else. My X wife would say that to me. I always thought we would get back together. Its been 19 years. What she couldn't stand most was the puppy dog act. And saying your giving up. It really turns a women off. Also, im a 100 times smarter than her so she felt a little belittled. But the big problem was she was just not ready to settle down and wanted to experience life. My advice, move on. Then if you stay friends but don't act as if you need milk, maybe she will see your strength and get back with you.

Looks like shes testing the relationship and has faith your breakup might be a positive thing for both of you..Im guessing she has faith you guys will go back together..she might be confused and need time to herself now...so if you feel that your love is real and strong have patience it will all work out in the end!

She means, "don't depend on me for your happiness". She probaly got cold feet or found someone else. (sorry). But do you really want someone who doesn't love you as much as you love them? I think not. You deserve better. She can't be honest enough with to tell you," I'm not in love with you anymore." Maybe marriage isn't right for her. But we as humans place our expectations high and when they don't work out ...well ... remember it takes two to tango and if the partner doesn't want to dance, it's time to find a new one my friend. So good luck and keep the faith ( no pun intended) that you will find the right girl for you... I think that's what she meant.

She's trying to tell you that there is a tommorrow, even though she migh tnot be in that tommorrow. Also she is trying to tell you that you'll be able to find that someone that is supposed to be special to you. And that she is not the one.

I believe she feels bad about the break up, but I feel when she says that it means she feels bad for you, but she doesn't want you back.
