Ecclesiastes 12
1 Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
"I find no pleasure in them"-
2 before the sun and the light
and the moon and the stars grow dark,
and the clouds return after the rain;
3 when the keepers of the house tremble,
and the strong men stoop,
when the grinders cease because they are few,
and those looking through the windows grow dim;
4 when the doors to the street are closed
and the sound of grinding fades;
when men rise up at the sound of birds,
but all their songs grow faint;
5 when men are afraid of heights
and of dangers in the streets;
when the almond tree blossoms
and the grasshopper drags himself along
and desire no longer is stirred.
Then man goes to his eternal home
and mourners go about the streets.
6 Remember him—before the silver cord is severed,
or the golden bowl is broken;
before the pitcher is shattered at the spring,
or the wheel broken at the well,
7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
8 "Meaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher.
"Everything is meaningless!"
The Conclusion of the Matter
9 Not only was the Teacher wise, but also he imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. 10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.
11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one Shepherd. 12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.
13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.

For those that believe God plans to have Peace Reign on Earth
Rev 21:2-4 (talks about the "New Jerusalem")
.. prepared as a Bride for her Husband (anticipating the greatest day of your life. All the waiting and sacrifice is over)
... Now the dwelling of God is with men and He will live amoung them (since man was banished from Eden, God has yearned to be with His children as a loving parent)
.... He will wipe every tear from their eyes (that is an INTIMATE relationship. I don't know about you, but there are very few people who are heartistically close enough to wipe my tears from my face without being pushed away. Such a personal relationship with the source of the greatest love woud bring many tears to our eyes, I am sure)
There are many more favourites, but this is the goal we are striving for.
Not just trying to bluff our way to escape the hellfires. Not for the fear.
This is returning to the Heavenly Parent that loves us who we have been estranged from for so long. Rushing into his arms and burying your face against his chest. Feeling the love and warmth. Never to face the conflict and confussion of our sin ridden lives again.

I like these two verses, both can be found in Psalm 118:
6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
and
8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in man.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, netither shall there be anymore pain: for the former things are passed away.
This is the destiny of every human being ever born and who ever will be born!

Psalm 20:7 "For some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord."
I sometime like to switch out chariots and horses for more common things that we tend to put our trust in, like money, people, jobs, medicine, etc...

...Psalm 73:25-28
...25 Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And besides Thee, I desire nothing on earth.
...26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
...27 For, behold, those who are far from Thee will perish; Thou hast destroyed all those who are unfaithful to Thee.
...28 But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all Thy works.
