When walking down the aisle at the end of this year I dont want to use the traditional wedding march, you know the ta da da da ta da da da, but dont have a clue on what else would be appropriate. Any ideas?

Great ideas everyone, never thought of using music with lyrics.
Thank you

At the bottom of the page it lists every song thats on that cd so you can make sure you dont get a couple cds that have mostly duplicates.

Other than Trumpet Voluntary, some suggestions are Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Spring is most common but you could do any part. I too did not want to walk down the aisle to "Here comes the bride" and didn't want the traditional music played at all. I was sick of Ode to Joy. I bought a couple cds of classical music to figure out which songs I really liked that the organist might be able to play instead. I walked down the aisle to March of the Royal Fireworks by Handel.

Good for you for not being traditional. And a march is a good choice in order to still have that loud DA DUM sound that makes everyone know its time to stand up.

Hope this helps. Good luck and happy listening!

I used the traditional, but my bridesmaids walked down the aisle to "Bless Us All" from the Muppet Christmas Carol, sung by two ladies I know. It's a sweet song.

When I walked down the aisle I used the song," From This Moment"
It was a beautiful and touching song and the lyrics were perfect.

Canon in D is just beautiful, but you can use absolutely any song you love that you find appropriate. I had a friend play the piano part to Sarah McLachlan's "Possession" (she has an all piano and voice version as a secret song on one of her CDs). I've always loved the sound of it and it totally worked. - Think about songs you love...and if they might work in an instrumental version.

Canon in D
Trumpet Voluntary (really nice if you know someone who plays the trumpet to do a duet with the organ, but can be played on the organ solo as well)
Moonlight Sonata

Watermark by Enya.
Also, my fiance is a composer and has made a few cd's, some songs which would be great for it. If you want something different, email me and I'll send you a nice song(classical stringed music)
