It would be so much easier if my son could reach his light on his own. He tries to climb on everything to do it himself which is very dangerous. Any websites or names of businesses would be very helpful.

We just gave my son a sturdy stool. He carries it all over the house to turn on lights.

I've seen a light switch extender. I'm not sure what it was called. You install it in place of the original switch. It basically makes the switch easier to reach for kids. Look in the baby safety section at WalMart, Target, etc.

Yes in hardware store they sell a cover you put over the light switch that has a short and safe pull string and then the child just pulls it to turn on and off the light. They cost under $10 or you could simply put a stool by the light switch

Good Luck

An inexpensive, non-slip stool should do the trick. They sell some good kid ones at Walmart, made by Kids II Inc. that are skid-resistant and not too high off the ground. My three year old can easily reach her light switch on this stool, and uses it all around the house.

how about substituting for an other source for light?

say like a touch type light switch on the side of the wall.the round buble like type glue to the wall?

and it comes in many diff colours.

im not sure what it is called but u can got to any hardware store or a place were they sell lights and discribe it as :

a light bulb but its shaped like a halg a buble and u can glue it / stick it on the walls and u simple add bateries and to turn it on u juss press the semi buble and u do the same to turn it off.

im sorry i dont remember what its called but im sure if u discribe it liek dat they should get what u trying to describe :P

u juss stick it to the wall at ur son's right hight and show him how to turn it on or offf.

its really safe and u can adjust it any tyme u want

good luck

o and adding a string to the light stwich wouldnt be safe cuz the kid and hurt him self or choke by accident

We got a little stool (it is identical to the one we are using for potty training) that has rubber on the feet. It was right under her light switch until she could reach it on her own and didn't need it anymore. It was only 8 dollars and we are now using it in another room in the house, so it wasn't money wasted.

I would use a good old fashion stepping stool. Some come with two steps. Safe and practical.
