is there any generic or over the counter medication similar to metronidazole or clindamycin?? i really need it but i cant afford it.. please help!!

...those are anti-biotics...there are generics...you can't buy anti-biotics OTC...gotta have a scrip...

Looked up metronidazole and see it is an anti infective for bacterial infection. Triple Antibiotic might help. You can get the store brand for less. I go to a dollar store like Dollar Tree and sometimes they have one for $1. Topical application of clindamycin phosphate can be used to treat moderate to severe acne so maybe other acne medicines could help. You don't say what the condition is that you are trying to treat. If the Dr. said these two medicines, there might be good reason. You might call his/her office and ask the nurse this same question and ask if any cheaper ones might work.

Where do you live? Check sources in Canada..... Much cheaper
