Yes. He is so concentrated with evil that he acts even against his own judgement. Its like when someone smokes (or insert any addiction here) and they know its bad for them but they still do it.
Disclaimer: I don't think people who smoke are the devil, there are many good people that smoke, they just do something thats not healthy for them or people around them and most of them know it.

Everyone think they are good persons. The same thing, the Devil think he is a good guy, why not? he is just doing his job for God. Lest say, no Devil, what is going to happen? This world would be a paradise and nobody will care about God.

Yes, he is very aware of who he is and why he is in the position he is in. He was, after all, with God in the beginning but rebelled against him and fell from heaven.
