understand life's value? if so... how?

You are a wise man.

As human beings we each one of have our own set of values on which to pass judgment values on everyone else. It is God given and where we give respect for one another. It is where we can judge each one as equals. It is as Jesus Christ said, give unto others as you would have them give unto you". God's value to man is love for He loved us before we loved him. Love is the greatest value a man can place on another human being. To the extent that you are willing to surrender your own life for the betterment of another.

There is a natural tendency for humans to seek survival--value life. It is only when day to day living becomes so unbearable and depression sets in that life loses its value for that individual. Suicide is often the result. One exception is Muslim jihadist. They are not necessarily depressed. I can't explain why killing is more important than living for them.

yes,if the individual has purity of mind and knowlegde of meditation and the nature of reality which is one,one self/soul with the life experiance projected upon it then reflected in the mind .we are the one in the all and the all in the one

You can... but um... it takes letting go of ego and self-cherishment and attachments to that ego... having an open mind and really studying and learning.
