I am or was dating this guy whom I have known a week. The last time I talked to him he told me he loved me. Freaked me out!!!!! Is there anyway this is ok or is he a psycho?

I would run and fast. Anyone who says "I love you" after a week is just too needy and insecure. Next thing he will be asking you if he can move in after two weeks and marry after three.
Fact is hormones wreck havoc with our emotions during the first 6-12 months with anyone new. Love is something that is figured out after that period.
There are too many good guys out there for you to need this one.

It is very possible that he is genuine. Girls are not the only gender that have dreams of the type of person they believe is the "right one." I fell in love with my wife after the first 4 dates. So, my advise is not to freak out and find out why he said that.

It sounds like he's either to much in a hurry, or maybe a little weird. I've had a ton of dates and I've never had one say "I love you" in the first week. Do you guys get along? How does he act around you? It would make me feel creapy if someone told me they loved me in a week.

Tell him how you feel about it. If he is still weird then you are just gonna have to accept that the guy is weird and you are going to either have to deal with it or move on. So your 3 outcomes are he is weird, you are afraid of commitment, or is it cool and you will let him love you until you decide if you love him too.

He might just be overly excited about things with you and not know how to deal with it properly. The "L" word can cause all sorts of trouble like that. If you still like him, talk to him and tell him he needs to clarify and/or slow down a bit.

He's ok but that is too quick. Just tell him to hold on saying that because you're not ready for love that quick.

It can happen that fast - normally it is the guy that takes longer but not always. If it was too fast for you perhaps you should have told him that he was moving too fast.
