Everything depends on your dogs fur? Do they get really dirty? I have Golden's and they tend to roll in all kinds of things so I wash them every 2 weeks or so.
If they are mainly house dogs then once a month is just fine. Any good dog shampoo will do. Just don't use human shampoo it will dry their skin out and make them itch. I like any oatmeal shampoo for dogs. It cleans the fur very well and it is gently enough so that their skin is left in great shape.
Hope this helps you out.

I would wash your dogs 1 time each week. The shampoo i would use is a kind to make sure they have no fleas and the kind that makes them smell good and i am only 10 and answered a lot of peole's animal questions.

Dogs actually dont need to be cleaned that often, basically when they FEEL dirty and they stink is when they need to be washed. You can wash them with human shampoo or dogs but be careful not to get it in their eyes if you are not using tear-free. The only think you have to keep up on really is brushing, dogs with longer hair can get mats under their ears (their fur gets matted into a knot.) and sometimes under their stomachs. Every 2 weeks is WAY to much, dogs dont produce skin oils as fast as we do and that would strip them of it all every time it came back =)

I was told by a groomer twice a month your dog should be washed. I use this shampoo on my boxer/lab is called Perfect Coat and its the natural oatmeal kind. She gets clean and smells good and leaves her very soft and easy to brush! hope that helps

My dogs only get bathed about twice a year.

In the wild they do not take baths so why bathe them too much, it could cause skin problems.

Just get a good quality shampoo from a pet store.

I bathe my pug about 2-3 times a month. But he needs to be groomed every day. He has floppy ears that get dirty, so I clean them out daily, as well as clean out his wrinkles so he doesnt get skin irritation/infections. And his eyes drain alot so have to keep his face clean. So if you have certain pets, you may have to tend to other grooming needs.

Once a mouth is good ;0)

Unless they have a habet for getting durty then you'll need to wash them sooner.

Hope that helps ♥ Becky
