Actually we ourselves are neither male nor female. We are souls which is free of any sex.

Because we think ourselves to be body, and forget that it is perishable, we ignore our true selves.

When God incarnates, He or She adopts to the sex of His/ Her liking. If it is 'He' then His soul is 'she' and vice versa.

Sex in human terms certainly does not fit on God

God is supreme consciousness...without a body hence God cant be male or female

However as per Tantra philosophy.. the consciousness is termed as Male (Shiva) and Energy is termed as female (Shakti)

Hence Shakta Path of hinduism worships God as Female (Mother shakti)

The Universe is feminine, it is the womb of all life, both terrestrial and extraterrestrial..The Earth is also female, and for at least 40,000 years her children have honoured and still honour a Goddess.. Then MAN and his arrogance, stole the secrets from womem and tried to reproduce everything in a men (man) sort of way ... Hence the Goddesses were replaced by the Gods...

In Hindu Mythology God has been always He, i.e. always male. Goddess is the form of energy. In Hindu mythology there is only one God which is Lord Vishnu. Rama, Krishna, etc. are His incarnation in human form on Mrityu Lok. Shiva is other form of Lord Vishnu. Brahma is not considered as Lord or God as he is the product of Lord Vishnu. He was born from the naval of Lord Vishnu. We all know Goddess Lakshmi and Parvati are wife of Lord Vishnu and Shiva respectively who are female. So God has to be male.

THEOLOGY
One God with the harmonious personality of both Male and Female.

When God created the universe, he designed life to need give and take between two distinct aspects ... Male and Female.

He looked at his own being and decided what parts to endow to man and which to women. Then the harmony between both as husband and wife would be beautiful.
************************************
EXPERIENCE:
The love of a Father and the love of a Mother are both real, but express themselves in different ways. At different times, a child would prefer to run to the Mother ... and otehr times the Father.
Do you think God lacks either of these two loves? -
No, God embodies both in his harmonised being
********************************
CAUSE AND EFFECT:
How can God create anything that is alien to himself? If God lacked Male or Female aspects, then where did he borrow the understanding to create the other gender?
Impossible!
God must be Male and Female

Eastern Philosolhy has known this for milleniums. (Ying - Yang). Don't let any prejudices make you biased against a teaching just because it came from a different source.
The gender of our creator has been known for some time ... we just have to be humble enough to hear the voice of God as it speaks to us from unexpected parts

Well, the word "God" usually implies male, but I don't think It has a defined sex. I think it should be different for each person, depending on whatever you can relate better with.

Gurbani teaches us: God is gender free. The Guru Granth Sahib refers to God as both masculine and feminine. At times, God is referred to as our father, mother, friend, husband to a soul-bride, etc. God is unborn and does not die. God belongs to neither sex.
