As a guy, I sometimes get hard when hugging my girlfriend or simply holding her hands. Do girls get aroused from doing that too? Is it obvious to the girls themselves like it is obvious for guys? Or does it just instead feel good and cuddly (but not sexually turned on)?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. All depends on what else is going on at the time and how I feel about the guy I'm involved with.
