When I open "MY COMPUTER", it correctly shows all my drives etc...but when I double-click any drive to access the drive, say, when I double-click C-Drive.....the contents of C Drive open in a new windows explorer(which takes time), rather than opening in the same explorer window.

What should i do to resolve the problem?????????????????

Assuming your using windows XP.

Open the My Computer Window.
then click Tools in the Menu Bar and then click Folder Optins.

In the Folder Option window the second block titled Browse folders has 2 options

Open each folder in the same window or
Open each folder in its own window.

In your explorer window, click the menu on Tools-Folder Options. In the General tab, make sure that the Browse folders radio button is set to "Open each folder in the same window".

When you're in My Computer, click "Tools", then "Folder Options". Under "Browse Folders", click "Open folder in the same window". Try opening your hard drive directory again. It should open in the same window as "My Computer".
