what should you do if your co-worker doesn't like you?

I have friend she said that her co-worker at work all the time picking on her make fun of her laught at her without any reason and she had a enogh. She can't aford to quit the job.. and i personaly i don't know what to tell her exept kick his or hers *** but that is not gonna happen...So what would you do if you're in her shoes....

i'd stay away from the person if i could. if this wasn't possible i would let the co-worker know how much it was upsetting me ('can you stop talking to me like that please, i don't like it' that sort of thing - the co-worker might not realise that they're upsetting him / her), if that didn't work then i'd take the only other option which would be to talk to my line manager about it - i'd say i didn't want to make a complaint but ask if they could have a word with the person about how they talk to me. i'd then make a formal complaint if it didn't stop.

no one should have to feel like that at work, you're there for a long time and if someone is making it miserable then action needs to be taken to stop it.
