The best God is the one who inspires you to greater heights, to do good for its own sake, and achieve something in life; and not 'god' who says "if you don't worship me, you will burn in hell forever".

There's just one God. He shows up in different forms. Allah, Buddha, Jesus, Vishnu, are all forms.

Let us assume, that there are different Gods. Do you think they would be fighting out there to prove that they are best? Then, why do we humans, creations of the almighty, need to categorize Gods and prove supremacy of particular race or religion under the pretext?

Doesn't matter which form of God was the best (if there was any competion among them). What matters is the effort they put to teach us to lead a virtuous life. However, we forgot those preachings and remembered just the name.

Only a person, who all by himself is the best human being, has the wisdom to answer such a question.

All the best...

:-)

Dear,
God and God. it is always a mystery. when you come in the world, you are born in a family with a particular religion. The religion of our parents becomes religion and we grow up with it. when we become big, we find that there are many other religions having their own god and goddess.
Then we start thinking- whose god is the best and who is the greatest among them. then we discuss about religion's greatness and then we fight- we tend to forget god's message.
i wished if anyone has asked, 'who is God?" God is only one, he is the best and the greatest. he is inside me and you, above you, below you, around you. he is you and me.
he had np form shape and size, but he come to us in whatever, form and name we call him with a pure heart. ask those who say, "my god is the greatest"- have you seen your god? they will have the same answer-No.
why is it? because they forgot the reason behind following the god.
God is truly numerous as he is each one of us. every religion from hinduism, muslims, pagans, jews, christ say that god had no particular form.
Also remember the name, characters, and even the powers a particular god possess is just an imagination of man or the way the god wanted himself to show the person. it has no relation with the omnipresent god.
God made no religion and nor did the sacred books cam from heavens. man's souls alone come and go to heaven so is he not the best god's creation among all.
seek in every man's heart with compassion- you shall find him- the 'Your Best God' .

with best wishes
RAM

The best God is the Triune God.

Three reasons would be, and not in any particular order,
1. God the Son saved me. No other god has been able to do this.
2. God is the creator of all life. No other god can truly claim this.
3. God is the sustainer of life. No other god can do this.

The Supreme God is only one. Not many, otherwise there would be a competition for the supremacy of God between Muslim Allah, Christian God or Jehovah, Hindu Bhagavan etc.
The one Supreme God is called in different languages as Allah, God, Jehovah, Bhagavan etc....

As far as the name of God Krishna is concerned, the very word Krishna means, the all-attractive one, due to having full and inconceivable potencies of opulence, strength, fame, beauty, knowledge and renunciation. One who is in possession of all six of these opulences at the same time, who possesses them to an unlimited degree, is understood to be the Supreme Personality of Godhead. These opulences of the Godhead are delineated by Parasara Muni, a great Vedic authority. So the description of Krishna fits very will with all the attributes of God.

This is a sementic type question and most of the answers are truely narrow minded

There is no "your god" & "My God"

God is the supreme consciousness spread evenly in the unvierse and beyond...and HE is the cause of all creation

My dear SK,

You want to know the best GOD, OK. Can you tell me how many GODS are there? You also want us to state how he is the best. I think you forgot to say, what are the YARDSTICK. More than that you want a "BEST READY-MADE GOD' , my dear brother,it is not that much easier task.

If you are really interested go and explore yourself. I can give you a clue. The best GOD for you is SK that is you.In HINDU DHARMA there is a ultimate saying (MAHA VAKYAM ) AHAM BRAHMASMI. meaning that I AM THE GOD. But don't simply say this, first realise and then say.

Psalms 83:18 KJV Because he is the only God that can give you everlasting life as a reward if you make the effort to learn and serve him or follow his laws, which are better than any of man's laws. See John 17:3
