It doesn't. And Jehovah's witnesses don't say the resurrection began in 1918 either. It is an educated guess they make based on the fact that Jesus was ressurected 3 and half days later, then MAYBE 3 and a half years after 1914, the ressurection might have started. They put it in those terms also, they don't speak with assertiveness unless it is in the bible.

Message for awsomemanforthelord: Actually, the 77 weeks prophecy does point out to 1914. Remember that prophetically they are 77 weeks of years.
(Note: I am defending a friend of mine who is a JW, and knowing the way JW's work, they would not say something assertively if it was not in the bible.)
(Note 2: If I would have left my response at the bible doesn't say it, I would have gotten the best answer, but it just makes me mad when people who couldn't wipe the shoes of my friend in bible knowledge try to show off by telling lies of JW's.)

If you study the Bible for a long time, which apparently you haven't, then you would come to understand the "deep things" of God. Try using Bible dates that are given for us to better understand the truth of biblical matters.
Where in the Bible does it say that people should wear the instrument of torture that Jesus was killed on around their necks and kiss and revere it? Scripture and verse please
Where in the Bible does it say to vote for imperfect humans, put your trust in them and go to war and kill your fellowman, including others of the same faith? Scripture and verse please

They say only that it was after 1914 and POSSIBLY in that year.
JWs teach the scriptures, not traditions of men.

JW is still in the founding fathers edition..we have a few problems but we are right on target...1918..that was the start..just the beginning..

For one thing, Johova wittnessis (sorry about spelling) have nothing to do with the bible. i dont no the bible inside and out but i am 99% sure that it says nothing in the bible about any date in the 1900 era.
