My last tooth on the upper right hand is a crown. And it seemed to have chipped between my second to last tooth.
It happened while I was using my sonic tooth brush? IT doens't hurt or anything.
Insurance does not cover a replacement! Do I have to get this fixed since it doesn't hurt? Or will it hurt eventually if I dont.
Can crowns be repaired instead of replaced?
Thanks!

Depending on how much is chipped, you may just be able to have any rough areas smoothed. Give your dentist a call & let them know what happened.

If your crown is less than 1 year old dentist usually will replace it for you for free. If it is older than 5-7 years the insurance will pay for replacement.
Usually if the porcelain chips off the metal the tooth structure is intact, and if you not experiencing any discomfort it is not a big deal. But if this chip became a food trap you should consider the replacement soon because this can give problems to your gums.
