Any one ever had this problem with thier cat. Any help with how i can at least get rid of the smell, its driving m3 crazy! Thanx in advanc3! :):):)

first thing to do is locate the pee, use a black light in the dark and it will glow. try using something with enzymes or vinegar. you do not say if he is fixed, he could be marking his territory.

Throw away the bag, it will never come out. As for the smell, use Lysol or Pine to clean the entire floor and floor boards.

Get the cat fixed so he does not spray anymore.

You have to use a cleaner like Urine Gone or Nature's Miracle, something with enzymes, to get rid of the smell. It will get rid of the source rather than just covering it up.

we had the same problem with our cat and couldn't get rid of the smell so we ripped up the carpet. I heard afterwards that white vinegar can help and there are a range of products at pet shops you can get to get rid of smell.

Try baking soda.. put it down and then vacuum it up after about an hour. (for carpet) For hardwood floors mop with vinegar (no joke).

Cats do this to mark their territory. Perhaps you should have him fixed, if he's not already.
Good luck & God bless!

Just scrubbing with soap and water, doesn't work. You have to remove the bacteria left from the stain. That's what's causing the odor. There are a number of products available. Below is a link for one that has worked for me.

I can't count how many times that happened to me with my cat that died 2 years ago. What she is doing ids she is doing it somewhere where it is hard to find because she is trying claim territory what you do is find the cat when you think she is about to do the do you follow her but don't let her know you are because thenn she will not go and find somewhere else to go hen she gets to her spot and finish doing the do spank her with newspaper and tell her no!!!!!!!!!!

just to add to what everyone else said, in case you didnt know (i learned the hard way...), if you dont get the whole smell up, the cat will pee there again and again! so make sure the whol smell is gone!!!

If it's a male cat, he'll most likely continue to mark his territory and stink up a storm until you get him 'fixed.'

contact a good vet for info on this.

good luck!
