The Bible does not prohibit drinking alcohol - Jesus turned water into wine. The Bible does tell us not to get drunk.

When I was younger, and much more foolish, I did drink to excess. The craziest thing I ever did was fall off a bar stool and throw up - not very attractive or smart.

I went to a club one night with my friends (we were all very very drunk). We came back home and I spilled something on my shirt. I was very upset over this. I kept saying, "I need a new shirt now!" So we went to Wal-Mart and we decided to get into wheelchairs once we got in. So my friend was pushing me in the wheelchair and I kept repeating,"Where the **** are the white shirts?" I didn't see any and I was so frustrated.
So these two ladies are staring at me and my friend explains to them that I'm retarded and I have turrets (?). They just nodded their heads and walked away.
Then shortly after, we were approached by security and the manager, because they saw us walking into Wal-Mart. They told us to leave and we were like, "No, we're paying customers and your so rude, blah blah.
Oh, that was a great night!

BTW, this was before I became a Muslim and we're not allowed to drink alcohol.

I believe alcohol should only be used for medicinal cures, as a lot of drugs have it. But an overdose of medicine, is poison.

yes getting drunk is against most Christian beliefs, as it's basically "a little for the stomach's sake", and not a little for the craving's sake. Also, damaging the temple is an offense in general.

Man! Do non reading Christians hate this answer. You can drink but become a drunkard Eph. 5.17,18, after all Jesus made the BEST wine at the wedding feast, then you find that Tim. a young man was told to take wine for his stomach pains and the Elders of the church and women not to be of much wine NOT ZERO Titus 2.3; 1Tim. 3.8

I am Christian (Roman Catholic). Drinking is not against our religion but we aren't supposed to be stupid about it either. The craziest thing I did was when I was a young American sailor in Malaysia. I actually boarded an Australian frigate.

Christians aren't prohibited from drinking alcohol. We're just encouraged not to use it to the point of being drunk.

alcohol is totally banned in islam,,,
it is bad to the health in general, & it makes the person who drinks it do foolish things.
& it is always said 'don't drink & drive',, they mean a motor vehical,,& they forget about driving , your family, your businesses , your life ...... driving everything......!

people under alcohol are a very easy target for satan as their brain will be shut off form distinguishing good from bad.
& often they regret their foolish actions when they wake up.

People are 'allowed' to do what ever they want.
However my body is a temple and I do not want to pollute it. I chose not to drink, smoke, or use drugs. in excess it has a way of allowing evil into lives
