Go to a dermatologist and have a chemical peels or microdermabrasion done- Usually its a treatment that consits of 4 to 6 visits-- Works wonders!
You may also try the new Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel. It contains 2 percent Salicylic Acid and should be used one to three times per week to reduce the appearance of post-acne marks with regular use. Using a treatment to help with discoloration will need to be used consistently over time for best results.

You can try some lightening creams or lotions on the face or some whitening products for the face that will eventually clear the spots. You can try Neostrata's lightening gel which works well for dark spots. My mom uses this for her freckles but it works for dark spots too! Or you can visit a dermatologist and ask about a topical cream known as Retin-A. Retin-A as I know is used for treating acne. I know this because I am currently battling acne and my doctor has prescribe it to me. It helps clears up acne and at the same time lightens or fades the dark spots. It works! Retin-A can even be used after your acne clears up to prevent new ones from forming and keep your face smooth and dark spots free.

So I dont know of anything that will really lighten the spots other than a scar treatment. But I do know of a type of make-up that works like magic! It is called Bare Minerals....my sister had really bad acne and i got her to start using this make-up, now you cant even tell she had spots from it!

proactiv
i know its mainly for getting rid of acne but it also will equalize the color throughout your face.
This is different than your issue, but for my I bought proactiv becuase my checks stay a readdish color while my chin and forehead stay pale. Proactiv evened out the color of my face so it all matched each other.
i swear by proactiv though. it is amazing how well it works.

yellow colored concealer will camoflage it (try the "you're bluffing" line from benefit...it's expensive but it works) and possibly the aveeno line...i think they have a moisturizer and cleanser that will even out your skin tone...
