I have to agree with Barbara W. No dog is going to whelp at exactly 63 days anyway. I've had some females whelp sooner and some much later. Just make sure your ready well ahead of time.

Just go by the week. Fertilization and gestation doesn't run on that tight of a schedule anyway.

I always count from the first one and the last one. this way I have a good idea of when to start looking for signs. Although, My vet tech scool book says to count from the final time. Hope this helps.

I would go with the first time that they mated and got "stuck" to each other. I know it is an important part of the fertilization/implanting of the sperm.

I would use the first time. Remember give and take a few days when having her puppies.... I guess I can't add anymore than that .,.Good luck on your new puppies.
