I've just read Derek Acorah's book "Ghosthunting" and a lot of people in the book agree with Derek's so called talents. As far as i'm aware these people haven't come forward to say Derek was lying in this book or even Derek misquoted them...
what do you think?

I honestly don't know. It's funny how he's always on the money though. Yvonne seems to get taps everytime she asks, but no apparitions? Come on, Most Haunted, stop rigging and show us some real ghosts.

I do like Derek's helper, Sam, though. It reminds me of Quantum Leap, when Sam talks to someone nobody else can see. If Derek was called Al, we'd have a true reversal. Plus all the comedy value. I half expect Derek to make a few comments about what Ziggy says next time.

I find Derek Acorah just way too hammy - he may well be genuine but he always seems to be overacting to me and I haven't thought that about any of the other mediums on Most Haunted who seem to get just as good results. He's a bit like the Jimmy Saville of spiritualists - jangle jangle

Definitely Fake.

I have it on good authority that Derek Acorah was Jim Hensons last creation.

I saw him once in Oldham. He was really very good and was a hit with the audience. But...these people can be very clever.
Who can say for sure? Except perhaps his wife.
I also went to see Colin Fry. The audience were a lot more subdued and he brought many people to tears, which in my opinion is very very wrong if its all fake. If i had to pick which of the two is most likely to be genuine id have to go for Colin.

.
I too read his book and could not put it down. I thought it was excellent.
Then i saw him on the show, I wasn't too impressed, I wasn't convinced and believe me I watch all sorts of psychic stuff

just an after thought, of course people wont come forward and say the book isn't true if the characters are fictitious.

Goulies and ghosties and things that go bump in the night ?
I don't think so, its a load of rubbish.
Send him to a murder scene and see if he can come up with the real murderer.
I've known quite a few 'psychics' and every one of them are barmy.

i think he was a good medium to start out as but then i think he just got silly and too showman like,i feel he exagerates his talent and what he feels, but my father in law is a meduim and hes alot better than derek.
