sparkling cider....for a toast to the couple. I wouldn't bring food. It is always awkward for me when guests bring food (I always have more than enough) and feel obligated to put it out and if no one eats it I feel bad. A bottle of non alcholic bubbly would be a nice gesture, and would make a centimental moment. Good luck!

A box of gourmet chocolates or a large bouquet of elegant flowers is a nice gesture. If they are opposed to drinking alcohol, but you still wish to take something bottled, why not try a bottle of expensive sparkling juice? It goes down a storm in my house, where we don't drink.

If you're still worried, remember, it's not formal! It's just a small dinner. You could even pick up a nice dessert from a local bakery and take it over (something fruity, not cake-like) and I'm sure they'll appreciate the gesture.

Offer to bring dessert, if you have an ice cream maker, that's always a hit. Otherwise, I'm sure the bride's mother would appreciate some flowers.

Take them something along the same lines like a cheese and fruit basket or (non cheesey of course) a gourmet chocolate sampler. It will provide appetizers before the meal (or desert if you pick the chocoloates). You could also take a nice cake or pie, etc.

I would say a gourmet foods gift basket, although it usually costs far more than a bottle of wine.

Even if the parents of the groom don't like drinking, unless there's some kind of religious conviction there is no reason they can't bring wine anyway. They just hand the bottle to the other couple and say, "thank you for having us into your home." You don't have to have any wine, and in fact can say, "we don't drink, but thank you."

You may not drink, but others DO. Stop being so self-righteous.

A nice specialty bread or dessert would be appropriate. Congratulations on the upcoming wedding, may God Bless their union and both families.

Are the bride's parents drinkers? If they are, I would bring a bottle of wine as a "thank you" or hostess gift, and a plate of cheese and crackers for a compliment to dinner (an appetizer).

Flowers, a box of chocolates, a dessert, a celery tray, a fruit platter.

ask if you can fix anything, like the potatoes or something, or bring a cake or pie for desert or something, it may be a southern thing, I'm not sure, but it seems like you never go eat at anybodys house without bringin something to contribute.....at least where I'm from!
