A variety of behaviors are often noted in people who sleep walk and sleep talk. Patients with this group of disorders (called parasomnias) typically have no recall of the event. A consultation with a qualified sleep disorders expert can usually identify factors that provoke parasomnias and can suggest proven medical remedies to minimize their occurrence.
It is called Somniloquy
Sleep-talking is very common and is reported in 50% of young children, with most of them outgrowing it by puberty, although it may persist into adulthood (about 5% of adults are reported to talk in their sleep). It appears to run in families.

Sleep-talking by itself is harmless and the content should be taken lightly, however it can wake up others and cause them consternation—especially when misinterpreted as conscious speech by an observer. If the sleep-talking is dramatic, emotional or profane it may be a sign of another sleep disorder. Sleep-talking can be monitored by a partner or by using an audio recording device; devices which remain idle until detecting a soundwave are ideal for this purpose.

It means you are human, many people talk in their sleep, and its not gonna kill you to do so, the conversation are probably a portion of a given dream that your body is acting out by speaking your half of the convo as it can not determine weather you are awake or asleep, I think, I dont know..I'm not a doctor.

I think (but am not certain) that it means although your body is asleep, your mind is still awake. I've been told that I sometimes sleep talk, in which I use bad language and insult people! This surprised me because that's not how I am in real life so I don't know if it's true or not. But does the fact that you talk in your sleep disturb you or are you just interested in understanding it?

when peopel talk in their sleep, it is because they are having an active dream, which is just a dream that your mind is really into and it basically tricks you into thinking its real. so you end up talking to peopel who arnt really there. that is also how sleep walking occurs.
the best exam[ple i can probably give you is, if youve ever woken up in the middle od th enight and you thought you were like running, but wernt really and u just liek blot awake and it k inda scares you. your involved in the dream so much it becomes reality
