My gf and I have been together for over 4 months now... lately she's been eating and snacking a lot, and not doing any exercise to compensate for her elevated calorie intake. I have noticed her starting to put on weight around her tummy (she's definately not pregnant though), and she seems to be reluctant to leave a weighing scales anywhere it can be easily accessed. She told me she used to be quite heavy before, but lost the weight.

Thing is, I've never been attracted 2 girls that are even slightly overweight (nothing wrong with them, just my own preference), so I've been telling her 2 watch what she is eating because the weight will creep up on her. She's getting annoyed telling me 2 stop counting her calorie intake. I tell her she looks good now, but I don't know how much longer that'll be my true opinion. Am I wrong? In my opinion, i think she should thank me for looking out for her. If you smelled of BO, would u prefer someone let u know or leave you unaware? Similar thing.

You may have slight concern for her but I get the impresssion that you are more concerned about your preferences. Don't nag, it has the opposite effect. Do some activities together that will help her burn off the extra calories...join a gym or take up some sport.

I think you are ethically concerned, but going about communicating that in a mean way. Instead of telling her to stop eating so much because you don't like pudgy girls, ask her to go for a long walk or go swimming with you. Tell her you think it would be fun to cook together...and you choose a healthy menu.

Concerned is one thing. Nagging is another. SHe knows your concerns by now.

But if you're more interested in her body than in her, she's better off without you. And you without her. You may need to re-evaluate your priorities.
