I used to take them every weekend, and sometimes mid-week for about 8 years
As long as you keep fit and eat healthy you will be fine, your brain is a lot more resilient than you think.
I doubt this is the cause of the depression

I had a friend that had been taking them off & on for 3+ years. Stopped completely 2 summers ago. She didn't realize pills can creat a false sence of well being. She got really depressed. I helped out maybe a little. I try real hard to live, experiance and spread Happiness. The first couple of years I knew her she was on the top of tallest mountian imaginable. She was almost inspirational. That summer she quit she was going the down slide of that very large mountain. (I feel bad to say it but here I go) Try to limit your time w/ party friends a little just till your feeling like "your ol' happy self again" Remember this...if they quit. then they're prob. feeling a little down or depressed too. Around groups, Depression can snowball you don't need to add to it. SO TRY to hang around people you know have killer Positive Mental Attitudes. (It' s actually like a ritual or religion, somewhat) Yeap! You should increase P.M.A. any chance you get learn from people you know are good at keeping the level of attitude up. Naturally! Some people have near death experiences and such that made them do a 160. Just practice happiness. You don't always need a life altering experience to let you appreciate all the killer things that most people take for granted or overlook. Just take small notices of some little things around you. I Think this is a good way to start. Also don't forget to spend more time outside. Do it! Nat'l sunlight helps.....ALOT! GOOOOD LUCK YOU CAN DOOOO IT! Just get into a swing - then there's nothing to it.

Yes, I do think it can cause depression many years later. I do not think going to the doctor for anti depressants is the answer though. This is just replacing one mind altering drug with another. Many feel that they need the seratonin replacement by taking these but do your research and you will find that many of the drugs used in the medical world today have some side effect or another. Personally, I took anti depressants and they numbed me of all emotion and although I have been off them a few years now, I have never been the same as I once was.

E is one of those special little bathroom concoctions that can actually cause literal brain damage and mood disorders as a result...
It abuses the release of brain chemicals and kills brain cells as a result so that you end up with less of what you actually need to be able to heal from it's effects.
I call it the mental self loathing drug. It is a quick fix for people who are socially retarded (using the term in a literal sense not a smart-assed sense) and rather self loathing...
It only makes it worse...

Yeah it messes up the seriton in your brain so it could very likely be something to do with taking pills. Go to your doctor and ask for antidepressants.

Research has shown that if you have a pre disposition to mental health problems, taking E's especially, will increase the risk of you developing mental illness.
