They all think that they have the one true and only way.

If these guys can't even agree among them selves, how are the rest of us supposed to see this as the truth.

Love and blessings Don

A denomination is just "how" a person chooses to worship. The basic tenets of Christianity should still apply. What civil war are you talking about? There is not one about to break out!

Because 'cultures' are different. People like THEIR type of music, THEIR type of prayer, etc. I wouldn't appreciate a Baptist church as much as a non-denominational one mostly because of the music. I would go to any 'christian' church because of the word. There are different styles of preaching also, I grew up in a rigid no-nonesense church, and found it too restrictive as I aged. I still believe them both to be christian, but, my likes and dislikes changed. As long as "THE WORD" is followed and preached, they can be christian. I don't believe there is a civil war brewing in the christian community, Churches don't 'fight' against churches. So, people are different, needs are different, churches will be different, as long as they all honor and pray to the same God, and don't interpret the bible to cater to their own needs, they can all be christian. That's my belief anyway!

Feuds and differences of opinion correlate with the reason for so many different denominations. A branch of this, a branch of that........I think Jesus is probably shaking his head in frustration, because people can't come together....each has there own interpretation and belief. Its embarassing.

Because they can't even agree with each other. Every time a bunch of Christians get a bee in their bonet about their current Denomination, they go and form another one. Kind of like little kids do in school when they get mad at their old group of friends.

Christianity has been splintering for 2000 years.
The only reason it's not even more splintered is that for the first 1500 years or so, they simply murdered any "heretics" who might interpret things differently.
If not for that pogrom against heresy, you'd have many more sects today.

That's a good question. However, I think that deonominations help signify exactly what people believe in. For instance, Charasmatic people believe in speaking in tounges, while Presbyterians do not. To me it's all about the intrepretation of the bible.

Because, instead of praying together for answers to question, people just argued with eachother then went their own ways. Protestants seperated from catholics, because at the time they were selling, get out of hell passes for loved ones...

They are all lost sheep. WE, the Church of Seventh Day Opportunists are the only true faith, anywhere - just as the Bible says we are.
