As you can see Butterfly Kisses is at the top multiple times and I used the version sung by Mark Chestnut at mine. Though on theknot I noticed a lot of people say that is far too overused.

Heartland sings "I loved her first." Alabama has some amazingly sweet songs. Martina McBride "In my daughters eyes". Clint Black and his wife have several really sweet songs but I think they might all be too "couple" for father/ daughter. Colin Raye- Many a Mile. "Daddy's Girl", by Red Sovine. along with the others "Through the years" and "My lil girl" that were previously mentioned.

You could also pick an old country song that isn't necessarily a traditional father/daughter song but just a song that your dad really likes. That's how "you're beautiful" (James Blunt) and frank sinatra songs get on there. Or you could even do somethings kinda funny--one of my friends danced to Frank Sinatra's My Way, b/c growing up her dad always said "It's my way or the highway" anytime they disagreed.

Hope that helps. It's a good list to get you started anyway.
Congratulations on the engagement and good luck on the planning!

Cross My Heart by George Strait. I am dancing with my dad to that song. It's actually a love song but there is the verse "you will always be the miracle that's made my life complete" and about the ups and downs of their relationship. That's my father/daughter song.

i danced with my step-dad when i got married 7 yrs ago and we danced to "butterfly kisses". even though he wasn't my "real" dad, it still had meaning to both of us. i've known him since i was 11 yrs old and effectively became daddy's little girl. congrats and good luck! the song may be overused, but it's still beautiful to dance to.

there is a song, I can't remember the name or even who sings it,

But the lyrics go
When tough little boys grow up to be dads
They turn into big babies again
It's all about a dad and his daughter
So sweet

You can do a lyric search to find it.
