My guaranteed “lose 15 lb in 5 weeks” VEGETARIAN diet: If you can commit to a vegetarian diet, this diet is for you: it is very easy to follow since it requires little to no cooking or preparation; no weighing, and no measuring really. All you have to do is get the food from the grocery store and eat, and I swear the weight will literally melt off of you.
Breakfast:
-Quaker single serving oatmeal packet (Cinnamon Roll is very tasty)
-Dannon Light and Fit yogurt (single serving)
-8oz glass/bottle of water
Snack:
-Breakstone’s fat free single serving cottage cheese (the cottage cheese is very important since it provides a great amount of protein)
-Handful of Wheat Thins or something similar
-8oz glass/bottle of water
Lunch:
-Large iceberg/romaine mix salad with 4 tbsp. of light dressing (no more than 20 cal/serving)
-Dannon Light and Fit yogurt (single serving)
-Piece of fruit (orange, apple, etc.)
-or 5 spears of asparagus (to prepare asparagus, just put 5 spears in a microwaveable container and either put water or balsamic vinaigrette filled half-way, then microwave until tender)
-or a small bowl of rasberries/grapes
-or a ½ of a small whole wheat pita topped with 1 half slice reduced fat mozzarella cheese and sliced peppers (or other such veggie)
-8oz glass/bottle of water
Snack:
-Breakstone’s fat free single serving cottage cheese
-Handful of Wheat Thins or something similar
-8oz glass/bottle of water
Dinner:
-Try a Boca meal or something similar (no more than 250 cal, but don’t cheat and eat meat or refined carbs!!!)
-Dannon Light and Fit yogurt
-8oz glass/bottle of water
-Your caloric intake should NOT exceed 1100 calories per day
-NO SODAS! NOT EVEN DIET SODAS! ONLY WATER!
-In addition, you should walk briskly or jog EVERY day for at least a half an hour
-Or if you don’t have a treadmill or don’t want to go outside, then combine running in place, jumping jacks, lunges, and jump-ups for a half an hour.
-Then do 3 reps of 15 crunches, and 3 reps of 15 obliques, 3 reps of 15 lunges, 3 reps of 15 proper push-ups.
I swear to you, this will work as long as you DON’T CHEAT!!! It might seem sort of hard the first couple of days, but it will get easier every day, and you won’t be hungry!!! JUST WATCH THE WEIGHT MELT OFF!! In the first week you should see a considerable difference.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Try smoothies - yogurt is good for you, but add some fruit with yogurt in a blender and mix, and it has many vitamins.
In about a week or two without any sweets, you will gain the will to say no to the sweets.
To help stay on track you can reward yourself weekly - if you dont have any sweets for the week, on Friday or Saturday (or whatever day) let yourself have a piece of chocolate or another sweet you love (this way, you dont crash and forget it all together).

I would strongly suggest having a slow releasing cabohydrate
for breakfast, something like porridge is great. This keeps you feeling full for longer. Plan to eat regularly, 6 small meals a day is what you should be aiming for, bearing in mind a meal is a potion of cabs, protein and fruit/ veg. so a ham salad sandwich in effect is a meal. (cabs with the bread, protein with the ham, and veg with the salad). This will stop you craving for naughties in between meals.
