Great, let's reward criminals with citizenship. Wonderful idea.
I know. How about we treat anyone who crossed into our country illegally as criminals and DEPORT them!

No, i don't think so, just because that promise is not in his hands.
I believe the negotiation about this issue have to be done specially with the legislators, because they have at this moment the power to generate the laws needed to solve this problem between our countries.
Besides, i'm convinced that there's a lot of work that have to be done to change the american population perception of this matter, and make them look at this from all the perspectives there are around it. The legislators won't change their position if the common citizens mandate is against the inmigration.
Anyway, this kind of meetings are important, since the USA is the main comercial relation for Mexico, and Mexico is an important associate for the USA as well. We share common problems, like the narcotraffic. So, i believe our presidents have a lot of things to talk and negotiate about.

He better not! Besides, he can't "promise" anything.
He CLAIMS he's against amnesty. While he CLAIMS that his guest worker program is not amnesty, it is.

I certainly hope not. Its a slap in the face to all of the law abiding people that want to come to the US legally, and all of those before them that did it the right way. Let the criminals stay, make the law abiding wait for months & years to come here.... It isn't fair.

I don't think so, but then again he really surprises me sometimes, If he does he will have many angry Americans-that is for sure.

I have to say he always does SOMETHING horrible on these trips, so it wouldn't surprise me. Then he gets home and doesn't always get what he wants, though, did you notice?
