Ha ha I love questions like this they remind me of my life. Try loads of hot soapy water. most wallapaper pastes are just water based, it should work but might be a bit messy! Good luck!

ps - don't ever spill any of the goopy alien egg stuff on your carpet - it goes hard and stays there forever no matter what you do!

you can freeze it off, just a few ice cubes in a plastic bag and rub.Then take a blunt knife and scrape as much of as possible. Once you have done that little job use warm water to sponge the carpet.100% sure you´ll be left with a mark ,so whip one egg white and pour on top of the mark leave for 10 min´s then sponge again. When your sure all the stain has been removed lay a towel with a heavy object on top & leave like this over night . This will help dry any remaining water from the underside of the carpet leave dry in natural air or use a humidifier to help suck up the water . You might have to sponge clean this area again as sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface

They make a great product called Goof I think it is called. Its for mostly water based or latex based products. It is sold at Lowes or Home Depot. Find out what sort of glue it is. Take the glue to the hardware store and have them look at what the base is. I am thinking it is probably latex. Goof will work wonders. Just be careful on light carpet.

Just use plenty of water and sponge it off, it will need to be gone over a few times but your lucky it's only wallpaper paste.

soapy hot water will do the trick takes a bit of effort but it'll do ther job good luck xx

try using some carpet shampoo or hot soapy water should shift it.
