there are already a lot of people not thinking in the churches and not thinking in the schools.... I think we just need to pray for all those who believe that thinking means not praying...

I think people should be allowed to pray in school. I do not see what the problem with praying is as long as you are not forced to. Everyone should think in church, I do not want the people of my church to blindly accept everything the minister says. There is nothing anti-christian about thinking analytically. That is how many people find their faith.
Just to let you know, most churches debate various ideas and interpretations. Why do you think there are so many different denominations? It is because there are so many different interpretations.

I'm with you, in my own mind.
However, true wisdom dictates that the average person has little time to contemplate such things, or capacity.
OK, my BF is Jewish, and he says the people engage in interpretation and discussion all of the time, each week. Some of them, I'm sure, do just that.
Anyway, I still think that most people are incapable of self-determination.
The masses are asses and religion is the opiate of the masses.
Let them believe whatever they have to, you know?
B/c one day, I'll go crazy sitting here thinking all of the time, and then these people who've been believing, and who have persevered in spite of all that reasonably was against them?
Well, they'll have it all over me, and I'll be furrowing my brows, wondering how it all went wrong.
Let it be.

Ah yes, the old idiom that the flock should not educate itself. Funny how the educated tend to fall from the fold of the believers, isn't it? Then the believers insist that faith must be forced upon the children without giving any heed to those who may actually walk a different path.

Why are they their schools? Do I not pay high taxes on my home to pay for the schools? Do I get any tax break if I send my children to another school? Yet I am to have no opinion?

You make no sense with this question....
Just because I am saved doesn't mean I don't have the ability to think.
