Pride is > UFC
Here's why i feel that way:
>Pride attracts warriors from around the globe not just from the USA, making it far more competitive.
>UFC has a 'round win' rule, this sucks because if the fighter wins the majority of the rounds right off the bat he will make the match very boring to just last till the end and win the decision. Very bad.
>Pride incorporates a 'yellow flag' rule where the competitor's will lose some of their purse (i believe $10,000) if they're yellow flagged for not being aggressive enough. It doesn't happen often but it's a great motivational tool.
>In pride there is less commercialism so when u buy a pay per view you don't see movie advertisments and there's not 25 minutes between each freakin fight.
>UFC needs to allow kicks while on the ground, and knees to the head. It really gives a huge advantage to grapplers to not allow that. U could even take elbows away, it would make it more exiting. The only reason people use elbows in UFC right now is in tight ground 'n' pounds when they can't do anything but do short elbows to cut the guy and get him disqualified. Just dumb, and not exiting to watch at all.
I think that's about all i can think of right now.

I like Pride better, for all the above reasons (except Cage > Ring because of restarts and the cage has never caused a cut the fence is coated with a soft plastic that causes very little friction) but the UFC has the money and the president of PrideFC already publically stated that Pride will be for sale soon. So the UFC will probably own Pride very soon, but Dana has stated he would run it as a separate org. like it is now and maybe after a few years put on a "MMA Superbowl" where the Champions face off. At least UFC is gonna be free on Spike TV.

Most people who know MMA, know Pride has a deeper roster of fighter talent. I like both orgs and I like the fact one is in a cage with different rules from the other one in a ring. If you have ever been to a cage fight, it is really hard to see, unless you have good tickets. Pride is a little better, but the UFC has the bigger market share because Amercians like MMA, so they are starting to pluck talent away from Pride and is starting to catch up. Bottom line Pride is still better for now.

Pride.....hands down...if you study the fighters in each organization you will see that Pride has the best fighters....but then again what would you expect when the prize money is double what you see in the UFC

I feel that the UFC is overall more exciting because it has a bit of an attitude to it. Dana White knows what it takes to fill the seats and glue fans to the T.V. He brings in fighters like Quinton "Rampage" Jackson from Pride because he knows that the fans like these explosive fighters.

I like Pride better for alot of the reasons Randy L stated.
Also I really like the ropes better than the cage. The cage especially at the live event makes it harder to see the action. The cage also makes it easier to get cut making many fights stop.
