It's called "temple garments" and they are given to a couple when they are "sealed for time and all eternity" (married) in a mormon temple. They are a symbol of their vow and they are to always be worn. Some really strict mormons never go without them. I had an aunt that had a whole ritual about bathing, so she was always touching her garment, while putting on a clean garment.

Mormons do not believe in Magical Underwear but they do have sacred garments that they wear.

It is not exactly "magical" underwear. It is however, scared underclothing that can remind the wearer of the covenants that are made in the holy LDS temples. Convents made in those temples are for the sanctification of the recipient. Those temple ordinances including "eternal" marriage for time and all eternity, as well as ordinances to "seal" families together for the eternities to ensure family bonds and relationships in the life to come after this one.

I guess you could say it is "magical" in that sense that it brings eternal blessings to the recipients.

They're called "garments", and they aren't "magical". When a member of the church goes through the temple for their first time they make covenants with the Lord and they begin wearing garments. The garment essentially reminds them of the covenants and is an expression of their faithfulness; there are many religions who wear items for reminders or to reflect their beliefs.

Yes, they have magical underwear that they call "temple garments". They are old fashion underwear that looks like a t-shirt with long drawers that go to your knees. They believe since they are the "chosen few of God", that these garments are blessed and will always protect them. I guess ugly underwear like that would keep you from committing adultery. Anyway, you have to go to the temple and receive your temple endowment before you are allowed to wear them. I don't know how they wear them. They are extremely uncomfortable and hot.

You are referring to the temple garments which are not "magical" they serve as a physical reminder for promises we choose to make with God (usually not 'till we're an adult and feel personally and spiritually ready).

Lots of religions wear some type of clothing to remind them of their covenants with God, some wear hats, others wear robes, or scarves, others wear collars. I think the main reason ours is underclothing is because we don't have a paid clergy. Every last one of us has to go about our different daily employments without something getting in the way.

Hope that helps.

It's not magical. It's a reminder of the rituals they underwent in the Temple. A better term is temple garments

I have heard stories about people catching on fire and not being hurt because they were wearing their garments. The garments don't actually save you. They are just a reminder of covenants or promises that you make with God.
It is a matter of obedience. God says do this and you will have x blessings.

Yes that is true.
They were known as temple garments in the 19th century.
The temple garment is meant to represent the sacred and personal aspects of their relationship with god.

Personally I think theyre all a bit loopy...
