ok so 2 guys asked my friend if i was a virgin and one of them told her to swear not to tell me and the other one asked his friend to ask my friend if i was a virgin...why do they want to know??

it's an infatuation for guys. They probably just want to know if you'll put out, or they want to take your virginity from you.
Be careful of guys who ask that question. They're more concerned with sex than about you.

Sometimes guys ask so they can know if you will be classified as an easy target or as someone who is pure and clean. My older sister's guy friends use to bet on who could take my virginity first but I found out and put a stop to that real quick. Don't take it as the same situation just be happy that is something that concerns them enough to ask.

I hate to say this but they are probably trying to see how far they can go with you. Some guys view virgins as a challenge and want to be the first one to be with them. It's sad but true.

Obviously someone who they hang out with or the boys who asked are interested in you but in the wrong way. They want to know because they want to date you but they want to know what they can get from you if they date you. Be careful about guys like that because they only want one thing from you and that is to have sex. If you are not ready to have sex then don't let anyone pressure you into something you are not ready for . That is how babies are made and teenage pregnancy gets out of line. You know. Trust your instincts and do what is best for you
